Telehealth VCPR

The veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) is the legal foundation that allows a vet to diagnose, treat, and prescribe for an animal. Most states still require an in-person exam to establish a VCPR before any telehealth visit can occur, though a minority allow it to be established virtually — practices offering telehealth need to confirm their state’s current rule rather than assume the more permissive model applies everywhere they have clients.
